BEIJING, Sept. 16 -- Chinese Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun held talks in Beijing on September 16 with álvaro López Miera, the Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba, who is visiting China to attend the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum.

國防部長董軍16日在京同來華出席第12屆北京香山論壇的古巴革命武裝力量部部長洛佩斯舉行會談。

Dong said that China and Cuba have supported each other on issues concerning each other's core interests since the establishment of their diplomatic relations 65 years ago, setting an example of unity and cooperation among socialist countries and sincere mutual assistance among developing countries. He noted that China is willing to work with Cuba to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two parties and the two countries, maintain the good momentum of deepening military cooperation between the two sides, further strengthen high-level strategic communication, enhance personnel exchanges, deepen practical cooperation, promote military relations between the two sides to a new level, and jointly build a China-Cuba community with a shared future.

董軍說，中古建交65年來，在涉及彼此核心利益問題上相互支持，成為社會主義國家團結(jié)合作、發(fā)展中國家真誠互助的典范。中方愿同古方一道，共同落實好兩黨兩國領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人重要共識，保持兩軍合作持續(xù)拓展的良好勢頭，進一步加強高層戰(zhàn)略溝通，密切人員往來，深化務(wù)實合作，推動兩軍關(guān)系邁上新臺階，攜手構(gòu)建中古命運共同體。

López said that Cuba and China share a profound revolutionary friendship. Cuba is grateful to China for its valuable support in Cuba's national and military development as well as for China's principled stand in international forums to uphold Cuba's legitimate rights and interests. He emphasized that Cuba highly commends and fully supports the four major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping. Cuba consistently adheres to the one-China principle and resolutely opposes any interference in China's internal affairs. Cuba will continue to consolidate and strengthen the special friendly relations between Cuba and China, and further improve the cooperation between the two countries and their militaries.

洛佩斯說，古中兩國有著深厚的革命友誼，古方感謝中方對古國家和軍隊建設(shè)給予寶貴支持，并在國際場合為維護古正當(dāng)權(quán)益仗義執(zhí)言。古方高度贊賞、完全支持習(xí)近平主席提出的四大全球倡議，始終堅持一個中國原則，堅決反對任何干涉中國內(nèi)政的行徑，將一如既往鞏固和加強古中特殊友好關(guān)系，不斷提升兩國兩軍合作水平。

Prior to the talks, Admiral Dong Jun held a welcome ceremony for López and accompanied him to review the Guard of Honor of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
