BEIJING, Mar. 17 -- Recently, the 11th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) passed its first UNMISS equipment inspection with high standards.

北京3月17日電 近日，中國(guó)第十一批赴南蘇丹（朱巴）維和步兵營(yíng)高標(biāo)準(zhǔn)完成聯(lián)合國(guó)駐南蘇丹特派團(tuán)首次裝備核查。

The equipment inspection is an overall assessment of the peacekeeping infantry battalion's capabilities in executing peacekeeping missions. The equipment, engineering, communications, environmental protection, and other departments of the UNMISS formed a joint inspection team for the assessment. The team assessed more than 800 equipment and materials and 13 self-sustaining capability items of the Chinese peacekeeping troops, involving such 21 categories as weapons and equipment, logistics support, environmental protection, and firefighting.

裝備核查是對(duì)維和步兵營(yíng)海外遂行任務(wù)能力的全面評(píng)估，此次核查由聯(lián)南蘇團(tuán)裝備、工程、通信、環(huán)境保護(hù)等部門(mén)共同組建聯(lián)合核查小組，并對(duì)維和步兵營(yíng)800余件裝備器材及13項(xiàng)自我維持能力進(jìn)行核查，涉及武器裝備、后勤保障、環(huán)境消防等21項(xiàng)內(nèi)容。

Since deployed to the mission area in December last year, the Chinese peacekeeping infantry battalion has carried out meticulous maintenance of its equipment, materials, and facilities, developed an efficient equipment support system and solved 467 malfunctions of all kinds. These efforts have effectively ensured the successful completion of their various tasks.

自去年12月份部署至任務(wù)區(qū)以來(lái)，維和步兵營(yíng)對(duì)裝備、器材、設(shè)施進(jìn)行細(xì)致保養(yǎng)，制定高效的裝備保障體系，解決各類(lèi)故障467處，為部隊(duì)順利完成各項(xiàng)任務(wù)提供了有力保證。
